Capitalia Team
Vincenzo Onorato, the shipowner and president of Moby, a shipping company has launched the second consecutive challenge to race against the best. The Capitalia team has the colours of the Canottieri Savoia Naples Royal Yacht Club and owns three sailing boat: ITA 72 and two Stars & Stripes USA 66 and USA 67 boats. The Capitalia Team has made its own official challenge to the 32nd America's Cup in Naples. The crew is enterely Italian and is sponsored by Gruppo Bancario Capitalia. At Auckland Mascalzone Latino won against the Frech and a wonderful match race against Luna Rossa. Onorato didn't lose heart after the elimination and, back to Italy he considered the partecipation in the Louis Vuitton Cup a wonderful & precians esperience.

Vasco Vascotto, one of the most famous Italian Sailors at his debut in America's Cup, is the skipper and tactician. Flavio Favini, the tactician on Mascalzone Latino in 2002-03 will be the steerman. Presently there are 3 Italian syndacates competing for the 32nd America's Cup: it is very good news for the lovers of his sport, also considering that at the end of september the Trapani Louis Vuitton Cup Act 8 & 9 will take place in Sicily (starting on 29th september). For the first time the America's Cup is in Europe and the Italians will have a first class role. The enthusiasm felt everywhere on the continent is what we exactly aimed at, bringing the Cup to Europe.
